Strawberry almond protein power smoothie is my new go-to post workout snack. Fresh strawberries, homemade almond butter, fresh pineapple and yogurt. Healthy, good food that you can take on-the-go.
I love adding Greek yogurt into my smoothies to add natural protein which also makes the smoothie richer and more satisfying. I don’t always have time after my workout to prepare anything substantial to eat (which is important) I’m usually trying to get myself showered and out the door for errands or appointments. I need something I can eat while I get going. I just add all my ingredients to my high powered blender and I’m ready to go in minutes along with my smoothie.
- 1 small banana, sliced
- 2 cups fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 10 ounces Greek yogurt
- 1 cup almond milk, unsweetened
- 1/2 cup ice
- Add all the ingredients to a high power blender and blend until smooth.
- Serve cold.
