Strawberry Almond Protein Power Smoothie
Strawberry Almond Protein Power Smoothie is perfect as a meal replacement or fuel for a pre or post workout. Fresh strawberries, homemade almond butter, fresh pineapple and yogurt. Healthy, good food that you can also take on-the-go.
I love adding Greek yogurt into my smoothies to add natural protein which also makes the smoothie richer and more satisfying. I don’t always have time after my workout to prepare anything substantial to eat (which is important).
I’m usually trying to get myself showered and out the door for errands or appointments. I need something I can eat while I get going. I just add all my ingredients to my high powered blender and I’m ready to go in minutes along with my smoothie.
I love the protein elements of this smoothie, Greek yogurt and almonds and almond milk. If strawberries are not in season, I like to use frozen strawberries. This then eliminates the need for ice cubes.
The almond butter used in the smoothie, I make myself (you don’t have to). Roasted almonds are simply blended until they turn into butter, that’s all it takes. You can also use your favorite peanut butter.

Iβm not a fan of almond butter or almond milk. Β Is there a substitution for both?

I want to know how you got those strawberries to stay put so the styling was so perfect! And the recipe sounds amazing! I need this in my life π
Thank you Elizabeth. The trick to the strawberries on the glass is slice them very thin, that way the wet strawberry will stick to the dry glass and the dense smoothie holds them in place.
I’m not a big fruit person, Janette, but one fruit I do really enjoy is strawberries. I LOVE the idea of adding almond butter to this, too. Mmm… my mouth is actually watering thinking about it!
