Dairy free Christmas cocktail
Even though it’s a creamy milkshake made with ice cream, it can easily be made dairy-free. There are plenty of non-dairy ice creams available – made with almond milk, cashew milk, and coconut milk — so you can enjoy all the festive flavor without the dairy.
This festive drink has been a holiday season favorite since 2018! If you’re on the hunt for new holiday drinks – something other than Christmas punch – your search ends here. Elevate your eggnog game: Santa’s milk just got an upgrade!
There are so many fun and festive names for rum milk cocktail out there! I’ve seen ones like Rum Rum Rudolph, Santa’s Hat, and even the Naughty Elf Cocktail. All perfect for sipping on a chilly Christmas Eve around the tree.

Best rum to use for cocktails
Rum is a Christmas favorite, and this cocktail is made for adults who love a festive sip. Since Christmas rum cocktails are so popular, this drink feels like the ultimate holiday milkshake. I like to use dark rum for its rich, warm flavor, but light or white rum will also work if you prefer something milder.
Snowy coconut rim
Rum and coconut make the perfect pair, and with coconut milk in the drink (or cream of coconut), I added a festive touch by rimming the glass with shredded coconut – it looks just like fresh snow! I also grated nutmeg on top for extra flavor and a beautiful finish. Add a cinnamon stick if you like.

Kid friendly
Making this for kids? Just skip the rum! You can also add a splash of almond, vanilla, maple, or mint extract for a festive, alcohol-free treat.
Holiday cheer
Let’s raise a glass to the hard-working gift giver! This grown-up treat is the ultimate way to toast the season – equal parts festive and decadent.

Cookies for Santa
No milk is complete without cookies – especially when Santa’s involved! Give the big guy something irresistible to nibble on. Try one (or all!) of these festive treats: White Chocolate Florentines, Chocolate Chunk with Sea Salt, or Peppermint Wreath Cookies.

Use rum extract instead of rum.
Hmmm, I’m not sure I’d want to drink any extract.
Delicious! I made for a cocktail party contest and won! Not to strong but you definitely taste the rum. If it is too strong add more I cream. I used coconut creamer
This is amazing! Congratulations and thank you for the tip using coconut creamer.
