Ingredients

  • 4 green apples cold * see note
  • 4 lollipop sticks or strong sticks from the garden, cleaned
  • 1 ¾ cups (200 grams) peanut butter chips
  • 1 ¾ cups (200 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 ¾ cups (200 grams)white chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup (32 grams) dried cranberries
  • ½ cup (75 grams) pecans, chopped

Instructions

  • If your apples have wax on the outside, either dip in boiling water briefly and wipe to remove the wax, or, rub them with a mixture of baking soda/bicarbonate of soda and water and rinse. Dry the apples well before dipping.
  • Cut the stems off the apples and insert the sticks.
  • Line a small baking sheet with wax or parchment paper and make room on your fridge for it.
  • Add all the chocolate and peanut butter chips to separate microwave containers. Heat them one at a time for 10 second increments, stirring in between until they are all melted.
  • Dip the apples in the chocolate or drizzle to coat evenly allowing the excess to drip off, place on the wax or parchment paper and refrigerate to set.
  • Once set, you can add more decoration like contrasting chocolate drizzles and decoration.
  • If using dried fruit or nuts, add them while the chocolate is melted and place onto the wax paper, then transfer to the fridge to set.
  • Once set, you can add more decorations like contrasting chocolate drizzles and other fun decorations! Enjoy!
