Rich and creamy blue cheese dressing is made by blending blue cheese with buttermilk, a touch of vinegar, mayonnaise and with additional chunks of real blue cheese crumbles.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (113 grams) blue cheese crumbled
  • ¼ cup (59 ml) buttermilk
  • ½ cup (118 ml) mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

This recipe yields 1 ¼ cups (300 ml)

  • To a food processor or blender, add the buttermilk, mayonnaise, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and half of the blue cheese crumbles. Pulse until the blue cheese is blended and the dressing is smooth.
  • Pour the dressing into a mixing bowl and stir in the rest of the blue cheese crumbles. Taste for seasoning, add more salt or pepper if needed.
  • Store in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container for up to 1 week.
