Baked Honey Soy Chicken Drumsticks

Chicken drumsticks are baked in a soy, ginger, chili sauce until they are sticky and good.

- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 1 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1 ½ teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 ½ teaspoons freshly grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 ½ teaspoons garlic chili paste
- ½ cup (170 grams)honey
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onion chopped for garnish
Add the drumsticks to a dish with a lid.
To a mixing bowl add the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, ketchup, chili paste, honey and brown sugar. Whisk to combine.
Pour over the drumsticks, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
After 2 hours, preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Cover a 2 - 9 x 13 inch baking dishes with a double layer of foil.
Add the drumsticks and cover with the sauce coating both sides of the drumsticks. Bake for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, turn the drumsticks and bake for a further 25 minutes until the sauce is reduced and thick.
Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onion.
