Soak. Dried, candied and fresh fruit are soaked in brandy.
Wet ingredients. Butter, brown sugar and eggs are whisked together.
Mix. The marinated fruit is added to the wet ingredients.
Dry ingredients. Flour and spices are added to the wet ingredients.
Bowl. A circle of parchment paper is added to the bottom of a pudding basin/bowl.
Fill. The mix is added to the bowl.
Cover. The bowl is covered tightly with parchment paper and foil and tied with string.
Steam. Add the bowl to a water bath and steam for 7 hours.
