I love adding Greek yogurt into my smoothies to add natural protein which also makes the smoothie richer and more satisfying. I don’t always have time after my workout to prepare anything substantial to eat (which is important).

I’m usually trying to get myself showered and out the door for errands or appointments. I need something I can eat while I get going.  I just add all my ingredients to my high powered blender and I’m ready to go in minutes along with my smoothie.

I love the protein elements of this smoothie, Greek yogurt and almonds and almond milk. If strawberries are not in season, I like to use frozen strawberries. This then eliminates the need for ice cubes.

The almond butter used in the smoothie, I make myself (you don’t have to). Roasted almonds are simply blended until they turn into butter, that’s all it takes. You can also use your favorite peanut butter.
